In the TJ 2000...
« on: 01/ 5/10 - 04:35PM »
[voice of Labamba of Conan O'Brian]In theTJ 2000

Look what followed me home.

Roger found this up in St. Charles, so if it tanks I'm blaming him... haha. No really I will.

2000 4.0 Auto with 4.56 gears 4" lift and nearly bald 35's.  I can't tell what lift it is yet.  Only has front lower adjustable control arms.  Actually rides pretty good on the street.  Needs SYE and shaft and swaybar disco's, some cleaning and a little maintenance.  The heat isn't the best either, and the radio doesn't work.  He was supposed to throw in a CD player he had but we forgot about it.  The seller is supposed to ship it to me.  It came with a brand new Pavement Ends Sun Cap Plus (full safari top with no drill header), some Bushwacker plastic rocker covers NIB and a NIB Reese rear hitch.  The side tubes are welded to the frame, bleh.  I told Christy I was cutting those off and she said I couldn't as that's the only way she can get in it.  I want some rocker guards like Kyle has with built in step.  All in time I guess.
Oh, yes it has a D35... I don't want to hear it...

I picked up a Yellow Top for it already.  It was cranking really slow at 10 degrees.  Plus I want to find a winch soon and they were cheap at Sam's Club.  I didn't have much of a chance to mess with it over the weekend.  Last night I checked the coolant with a hygrometer and added some more to the tank.  The oil was low, but I'm guessing someone forgot to put the 6th qt in.  Then I checked the windshield washer fluid.  Frozen solid.  I'm gonna try to thaw that out today.

Anyhow, it's something to start with that I somewhat feel safer taking Rowden around in.
I'd put something funny here, but you probably wouldn't get it anyway...

congrats Keith.

PS. I have a CD player from an 06 Rubicon. Will take $50 for it. Hardly used, got it from Ross a while back.

Unless I can find Christy a 4dr JK, this Jeep is gonna cost me a new front door to the house, tile in the kitchen and I can't remember what else she wants.

looking good, what are your plans for it? Just mainly keep it as a dd?

No, we have other DDs, this is a supplemental vehicle/trail rig.  I'll add the normal items it needs as time goes by.  SYE/shaft, track bars, adjustable control arms and protection. I'll either swap the rear axle someday or do a Super 35. Nothing radical, I still want to keep it streetable but trail worthy too.

HAHA I thought you were talking about Roger's trailer.  Didn't even notice the Jeep on it!!!

How long will it be before you pile stuff on it in the garage? LOL

I am going to wait you out and buy it from you in 5 years.

Might as well, your CJ still won't be done by then...
