Well I bought a 77 CJ5 to build for my girlfriend and I thought this would be a good resource.
Bad:
Frame is shot
Dana 30 front
T150 instead of T18A
TSL SS 36x12.5 R 15 on the stock front axle
Need some intake work done, likes to shoot fireballs out of the carb.
Cracked weld on fuel tank.
Good:
Extra frame
Different tops and 3 sets of doors.
Almost new TSL SS
D44 rear axel
T150 instead of an automatic
Got a **** of a deal on a trailer with it.
Headers and straight pipes sound awesome.
Plans:
Get my extra frame fixed up a ready to go.
3" or so lift. YJ springs.
Shackel reversal maybe.
Tie rod flip.
4.5-4.7L stroker swap.
D44 front axle.
T18A tranny swap.
Tera low D20 swap.
4:10 diffs.
Get rid of the 36's and go to an A/T 33.
Anyways, just saying hi. Probably spend a lot of time around here asking where to get stuff done locally.
I guess first off is there anywhere to get the extra frame dipped?
