Sooo... (My jeep troubles continue)
« on: 04/22/07 - 12:05AM »
Drove back up here 2 weeks ago... Get to F Hiway... Rear U-joint pukes (thank god it wasn't the CV though).

So, now I need a rear pinion AND probably to get my d-shaft rebuilt.

Who wants to help?

Why do you think that you need a pinion?
I cut sheetmetal for free.  It's fixing it that get's expensive.

my luck? I'm pretty sure one of the straps on it went bye-bye somewhere along the road when it puked. I haven't actually really looked at it... I just know the u-joint got spit out and i was so pissed i left it on the side of the road.

Well now I hadn't thought of that but I could use a spare rear 44.  I was just thinking of getting it for the tow bill. LOL

I have a 3:73 pinion out of my 44 but if I remember he has 4:11 I think.

I have 4.56s. And it's not on the side of the road (I got it later that day). Strapped the d-shaft up with a large zip tie and drove it to the house since it was 3 miles.
