I Finally Came Back

Unfortunately, I will be out of town for the December meeting...Hopefully I can make it to the January meeting.

We picked up a 4 door Wrangler this week.  It should be fun.

I can't wait to get it on the trails.

Welcome back to Jeeps!  I've heard good things about the new wranglers.  4 door's are suposed to be roomy, and comfy to drive.

I can't wait to see how they do on the trail. The interior look cool and styling, but one thing I noticed is the sound bar will make for a great place to smash your forehead for anyone sitting in the back seat.

Did you get the Rubicon 4 door?

It's just an X model.  I don't know if the Rubicons are available around here yet.  I also wanted to build it up with the lockers and axle shafts that I prefer (and save a few thousand).  I also wasn't too fond of the old Rubicon lockers.  The electric sway bar disconnects would be nice though.

The rear seat sits pretty far back.  I wouldn't worry too much about the sound bar, but I guess it would be possible.  I don't plan on getting that crazy with this one on the trail.

I'm about 6' tall and sat in the back of an X soft top 4dr and was uncomfortable as hell.  I too thought the sound bar was huge.
Drive-ability was nice and rode great on the highway.  The one I tested was a 6sp and I didn't care for it.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not bashing them, in fact I really wanted to like it and was looking to trade our WJ for one.  But after driving it I don't think we'll be getting one.  Maybe down the road an auto hardtop.  I met a Rescue green 4dr HT on the road the other day and just thought it was awesome looking.

I rode in the back for a trip yesterday and was real comfortable.  I was sitting behind Allie, so her seat was pretty far forward in the front.  That might have made the difference.

I thought I would love the 6 speed, but I didn't care for it after driving it a little.  We ended up getting an automatic.

Yes, it should be at the shop.  Give me a call before heading over to be safe, if you want.

We definitely have some big plans for it.  It should be pretty trick by the end of the year.
