is there any places around here that you can drive your 4x4 just to play around or test out flex etc.  without having the law come after you etc.  If it is a place that you would rather not everyone knowing about feel free to pm me. I just moved here from texas so I basically know nothing of the area.  Thanks and hello to everyone. Hope I posted this in the right place.

this is the place to go... about 35 minutes east of springfield... go play all day.

Otherwise, find a rock at a contruction site, or a loading dock somewhere...  :agree:

Welcome.  We have everything you could really want in wheeling around here and if you don't mind driving a little bit, there's some great places in Oklahoma and even down in Arkansas.  Give us a holler and check out when we'll be going on trail runs, etc.... :bounce:

I am planning on joining the club in the near future and am already starting to meet people here because I'm buying parts to get the xj where I want it to be.  I have to admit I've never been much of a jeep fan not that I really had anything against jeep just liked to be a rebel I guess  :jamminz: but when I heard shamoo on the radio and found out this was a jeep only club I was keeping the xj I will be going on trail rides etc. when work permits but I always kindof like to take the truck out and make sure everything is in proper working order before hitting the trail where I tie everyone up because something stupid that was overlooked breaks.  :banghead:

Welcome to SWMO!  Welcome to the board, and welcome to the wonderful world of Jeeps!

There are several wonderful choices for wheelin in the area, most within about an hours drive from Springfield.  The Southern missouri offroad ranch is the best place to go, but there are also some very good trails in the Mark twain natinal forest.  Chadwick has some easy trails, near Cassville/Roaring river there are several gret trails, and even more in the glad top area.  Flat and nasty offroad park is not to far away, and Disney OK is just a few short hours from here.

Tell us a little about your rig, and what kind of wheeling you like, and we will see you on the trails!
