Fridays has been that way for along time. They even tell you when you sit in the bar area that they will only serve you like 3 drinks an hour or something like that. Technically that's all a bar is allowed to serve you in the city limits of Springfield, but there isn't anyone to enforce that. That's why it never happens anywhere else. If you were to get pulled over and the cop was to question you where you got drunk, how many you had, and why they let you leave drunk, if it's over the legal limit they can fine the place that served you and the bartender gets in a lot of trouble.
