gettin a title for a boat

now this is down in oklahoma, but it might  be alittle different than yall up there.
here is the story, my neighbor has her ex husbands boat that is now her property, but she does not have a title for it. is it possible to get a title for it from tag agency? what would be the best thing to do?

go straight to the source and call the tag agency with the VIN on that boat...(it should be on driver side (on the boat) back corner)..

make sure she has paperwork stating that it is now hers.  you cant just run in and say its mine i need a title.

if she got it through court, then have her take the paperwork showing it and if they cant help her, they can point her to where she can be.


here in mo you can go to jeff city with the paperwork and normally get a title in 3 days

yeah, it may be hard cause, it should be his, but i guess he had a time period to get everything out of the house and he left it, and she said the court said anything he left would become her property.

Just an FYI, if it has an outboard or trolling motor you will need titles for those as well.  Don't forget about the trailer title also.
