New Jeep - RubyLee3
« on: 01/16/11 - 05:10PM »
Hey all, been a while since I've been on, but thought I'd share that I'm back in the saddle with a new Rubicon. I'm loving everything about it; it's loaded to the hilt. I even went AUTO this time around. it's got every option but a soft top which my sister gave me hers from her 2007 JK, never used in trade out for me building her a bumper, not sure if it'll fit but I'll see. It also doesn't have U-Connect (the phone stuff) but oh well. leather, power mirrors, locks, windows, heated seats and mirrors, DVD player, NAV, HDD, yadda yadda, man talk about wheeling in style. :-)  The 3.8 is also no slacker, and it drives like a dream on the highway... heck of a lot better than my TJ Ruby did when it was new. I no longer have a tow rig; but don't really need it anymore... for now anyway. Gears are turning in my head about what all I want to do and in what order... not sure what, when or how, but am going to enjoy it stock for awhile. The original RubyLee made it to 1500 miles before I lifted it. I plan to keep this one stock longer. ha. we'll see. Anyway, I should be joining in on some runs now. Looking forward to that.  8)

Here are a couple pics.

Yeah I still got it, I just need to paint the hood and grill, put it back together and wheel it. It'll most likely be for sale soon to finance stuff for this one. ;-) no rush though. I'll be selling my trailer too since I have no tow rig now.

It's a 2004 Jerry James gooseneck  trailer. 20ft deck - 18' + 2' dovetail, Ramps, 2 3500lb braking axles, one axle needs a brake job, tires are 10 ply E rated about 2 years old, 95% tread, about 1000 mikes on them. Repainted, wired, pinstriped and all new running and brake lights within the last 2 years.  Trailer looks good will need some wood, $1750 takes it. It's at SMORR, you can view it there and pick it up there if you want it.... Can't pull a goose with the new jeep. :-(

Have clear title and it's for sale now.

Well. It did come with a tow package...  haha. But... no I'm going back to the old days when I drove to the trails, wheeled and drove home... Simpler times.  8)
